Hounslow Rotary Club Raise Funds for Polio at The Worlds Greatest Meal

Hounslow Rotary Club recently held a meal at the Mirsch Masala Indian Restaurant in Hounslow to help raise funds to eradicate Polio world-wide.

District Manager and Hounslow Rotary Club President Quentin Edgington, said, “This was a great evening to help raise funds to eradicate Polio. We raised £193 which will be trebled to £579, thanks to the Bill Gates Foundation.”

Steve Knight has just taken up the position of Branch Arranger at the newly opened Lodge Brothers branch in Twickenham. Steve joined the company as a Relief Arranger and was asked to take on the very exciting position at the brand new branch. The photograph shows Steve preparing for the Official Opening and Dedication Ceremony which will take place at the end of February in the presence of the Mayor of Richmond.

Quentin Edgington, Lodge Brothers District Manager for the area, said, ‘I believe Steve is an excellent person to take on the challenge of developing the new business in Twickenham, and I wish him well for the future.’

Charity Coffee Morning – Supported by Lodge Brothers

Tuesday the 3rd October saw Woodman and Son hold its coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care, with matching events held at our branches in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.  A wonderful selection of cakes and biscuits was on show across all 3 branches with a total raised of £137.02 through donations and raffles.   Andrea Marr, assistant area manager, who organised the events said “it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces at the coffee morning, it’s a great way to meet people and support such a worthwhile cause at the same time, I would like to extend a big thank you to all who attended, and to the branch arrangers who also helped make it such a success, we all look forward to seeing you again next year”.
